83DCreate was born from a simple passion for making things. Starting with a single Ender 3 in a spare room and a drive to create, we began producing custom prints, gifts and prototypes for local businesses and makers. What started as a hobby quickly became something more.
Demand grew faster than expected. We reinvested every penny back into the business, scaling up to a full print farm. More capacity meant bigger orders, faster turnarounds, and the ability to keep quality exactly where we wanted it — uncompromising.
A milestone we're genuinely proud of. Hitting over 1,000 positive reviews on eBay proved that our approach — obsessing over quality, reprinting anything that isn't right, and treating every customer like the only customer — was working.
We built 83D Farm, our online quoting and order platform, so anyone could upload an STL file and get an instant price. No middlemen, no fuss — just upload, choose your settings, pay and we'll ship it.
Running a print farm is complex. Juggling jobs across multiple machines, tracking filament, scheduling maintenance — we tried every tool available and nothing was built for the job. So we built our own. FDM Foreman is now a standalone SaaS product used by print farm operators across the UK.
We also wrote the book — literally. The First Layer is our complete beginner's guide to 3D printing, available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle. Everything we wish someone had told us at the start, in plain English.
What started as one printer is now a proper business — custom printing, on-demand quoting, farm management software, and a book.
